Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2008 spring semester Matt Hunt Memorial Scholarship to Trent Prather of Estherville.

This scholarship, sponsored by PepsiAmericas of Estherville, was established in memory of Matt who graduated from Iowa Lakes. He enjoyed playing baseball for the Lakers and was employed by Pepsi at the time of his death. Usually awarded to a returning sophomore baseball player who graduated from a high school located in Emmet, Kossuth, Clay, Palo Alto, Dickinson or Martin counties; the selection committee does reserve the right to extend the area or criteria as needed.
