IOWA LAKES STUDENTS RECEIVE BROADCASTING SCHOLARSHIP

Several full-time broadcasting students at Iowa Lakes Community College have been awarded scholarships from the Quarton-McElroy Iowa Broadcasters Association Fund of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.

Recipients are Joshua Waechter of Algona, Brianna Holmberg of Laurens, Nathan Underberg of Livermore, Holli Herrick of Madrid, Bill Geelan of Ruthven, Joe Vigdal and Courtney Watkins of Spirit Lake, Thomas Sorenson of Terril and John Hartigan of Sioux Falls, S.D. Students are selected by recommendation and involvement in television/radio activities. The award is deposited into the student’s school account.

The Iowa Broadcasters Association is a group of broadcasters, station owners, managers and program directors from across the state of Iowa who meet annually at a summer conference.
