A new

housing manager. As manager, his duties will range
from enforcing housing policies and promoting
healthy lifestyles, to meeting with students to
solve conflicts when necessary.
McCloud is a graduate of Arizona State University
where he was a Maroon and Gold Scholar Athlete, a

After graduating
from Arizona State, McCloud went to Northern State University in
Aberdeen, SD where he was a graduate assistant wrestling coach.
Most recently, he served as the head wrestling coach as well as
head golf coach at Jamestown College in Jamestown, N.D. In his
seven seasons there, he has produced 68 National Qualifiers as
well as 7 Athletic All Americans, 11 Academic All Americans and
40 DAC 10 Scholar Athletes.
Troy Larson, the
new Athletic Director at Iowa Lakes, is extremely happy to have
McCloud on board. "We are excited to have Jason joining the Iowa
Lakes family. He is a high quality human being and coach, who
has had great success as a wrestler and a coach over the last 15
years."
McCloud’s
enthusiasm towards his new position is evident as well. He is
also looking forward to assembling his team. "Since our first
season will be in 2008, I will have a year to plan and to
coordinate," McCloud said. "This will give me time to recruit
and build a strong team here at Iowa Lakes."
McCloud doesn’t
just recruit great athletes; he recruits great student athletes
who excel in the classroom as well as on the mat. This is
evident by his graduation rates and the number of Academic All
Americans he produces.
