LAKER MEN SIGN EMMETSBURG STANDOUT
Dalston Jones of
Emmetsburg has signed a National Junior College Letter of Intent
to play basketball at Iowa Lakes Community College.
The 6’1", 170
pound guard will join new Head Coach Troy Larson’s squad.
The two-time,
first team All Lakes Conference performer led Emmetsburg High
School to the Lakes Conference championship playing for Mike
Brennan.
As a senior,
Jones averaged 10 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game
for the E-Hawks.
Jones is the son
of Tina & Jerry Oliver and Wade Jones. Jones follows in the
footsteps of his father who played for the Lakers in 1986-1988.
He is enrolled in the Associate in Arts degree program at Iowa
Lakes Community College.
"We’re definitely
very excited to add a student-athlete of Dalston’s caliber to
the Iowa Lakes family," Larson said. "The fact that he came from
such a good area high school program is important in our
commitment to recruit the very best talent, both locally and
throughout the upper Midwest."
