COLLEGE OFFERS NEW SET OF COURSES ON INSURANCE
Iowa Lakes
Community College is offering a new class on insurance starting
this summer term.
The class is
called Property and Liability Insurance Principles. It is a 3
credit college course taught by Lori Walton CPU, AIC, AIS, ITP.
After completing
this class, a student will be prepared to take the INS21 exam.
This is the first step to obtaining a certificate in General
Insurance from the Insurance Institute of America (IIA). A
number of guest speakers will lecture on the nature and
operation of the insurance business.
Students taking
this class and others that follow will find themselves more
employable in the insurance field.
Classes begin on
May 22nd and end on July 19th. Classes meet on Tuesday and
Thursday from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. on the Algona Campus of Iowa
Lakes Community College. Textbooks can be purchased the first
day of class.
