IOWA LAKES FOUNDATION HOSTS CLAY COUNTY GOLF OUTING

Golf enthusiasts are invited to attend the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation’s Clay County Scholarship Golf Outing on Friday, June 15.  Registration begins at 11 a.m. with shotgun start at 12 p.m. A short awards program will follow play with prizes being distributed.

The event features an 18-hole outing at the Spencer Golf and Country Club.  Participants will be able to have lunch from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. and take part in games, contests and silent auctions throughout the afternoon to help raise funds for scholarships for students from Clay County.

"Last year’s golf outing brought almost $16,000 to help Clay County students attend Iowa Lakes Community College.  We hope to raise even more this year with the help of area businesses and residents," said Kitty Conover, Spencer campus Dean.

Raffle tickets for a 2007 E-Z-Go PDS electric golf cart partially donated by Ken’s Auto & Golf of Emmetsburg are $50 each with only 250 tickets being sold.  Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling Katie Elbert, Iowa Lakes Events Coordinator, at 800-242-5106 ext. 4425 or will be sold during the event if the 250 maximum ticket sales have not been met.
