GREENWAY SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED AT IOWA LAKES

Iowa Lakes Community College is announcing the establishment of the GreenWay Scholarship.

Perry & Teresa Pearson, long-time residents and philanthropists in the Iowa Great Lakes area, joined the Iowa Lakes Community College President’s Circle of giving this winter. As a result of this partnership with Iowa Lakes, the Pearson’s decided to utilize their President’s Circle gift by establishing this scholarship to further their support for the protection/improvement of the environment.

Eligible candidates for the GreenWay Scholarship must be enrolled full time in any renewable energy (Wind Energy and Turbine Technology, Biomass Energy Processing, etc.), or Landscape and Turfgrass Technician or Environmental Studies program at Iowa Lakes Community College. In addition, they must possess and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and display financial need as determined by the FAFSA form. Application deadline for this scholarship is April 1, 2007.
