CAREER DAY PLANNED AT IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY
COLLEGE
Iowa Lakes
Community College is hosting a Career Day for some 900 area high
school students on Tuesday, April 3. Twenty area high schools
will bus students to the Emmetsburg campus where some 80+
experts in their careers will present short programs on what
their career entails.
Students were
asked to identify the three top careers in which they have an
interest and individual schedules have been established for the
students. The experts will talk about all aspects of the job
including job tasks, hours, pay and benefits. Students will also
be given a chance to ask questions of the speakers.
Registration is
from 9-9:30 a.m. at the Smith Wellness Center entrance to the
college. The sessions end at 11:35 a.m. High schools have been
invited to stay for lunch at the college at a cost of $3.50.
