Iowa Lakes
Community College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Troy Larson has
announced the signings of Emmanuel (Manny) Yuyada and Jeffery
Clark-Neal to National Junior College Letters of Intent.
Yuyada, a 6’4",
205 pound power forward from Sioux Falls, S.D., was a two year
starter for Coach Bob Wilber at Roosevelt High School. Yuyada
averaged 13.2 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 53.6
percent from the field and 65.3 percent from the free throw line
during his senior year, and was a first-team All Greater Dakota
Conference and second-team Class AA All State selection. Yuyada
helped lead the Rough Riders to a 33-13 combined record over the
last two seasons including a Greater Dakota Conference
Championship his senior season.
Yuyada’s
guardians are Christopher and Blandina Yuyada of Sioux Falls, S.
D., and he is enrolled in the Associate in Arts degree program.
"We are pleased
to have Manny joining our program. He plays hard and brings a
good level of toughness to the game. He knows how to win as he
has played for one of the better coaches (Bob Wilber) and
programs in the state of South Dakota," said Coach Larson.
Clark-Neal, a
6’1" 185 pound combo guard, was a two-year starter for Coach
Vern Simmons at Johnson High School in St. Paul, Minn.
Clark-Neal averaged 13.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists while
shooting 50 percent from the field and 69 percent from the free
throw line. Johnson High School won 50 games over the past two
years and appeared in back-to-back state tournaments. Clark-Neal
was a first team All St. Paul City Conference selection his
senior year, and during his four years of varsity basketball,
Johnson High School won four St. Paul City Conference
Championships.
Jeffery
Clark-Neal is the son of Jeffrey Neal and Tracy Clark of St.
Paul, Minn., and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts degree
program.
"It is a great
opportunity for Iowa Lakes to add Jeff to our program. He is a
very athletic, strong guard who knows how to score. He
understands how to play, and has been part of a great high
school program with a great coach (Coach Simmons). He is used to
winning and can bring that winning mentality to Iowa Lakes,"
said Coach Larson.
