SECOND SUMMER TERM CLASSES AVAILABLE AT IOWA LAKES
Individuals
interested in taking a summer college class will want to know
that there is still time to register for the second term of
classes this summer at Iowa Lakes Community College.
A variety of
transferable course work is available starting June 26 at the
second session of classes.
Many students
take summer classes. Some are interested in the courses to
lighten their course load the following college year. Others use
the classes to reach the goal of early graduation. While yet
other students take this opportunity to ‘catch up.’
General education
course offerings include such classes as English Comp II,
Principles of Accounting II, Finite Math, Fundamentals of Speech
Communication, Intro to Sociology as well as Western
Civilization. These courses are transferable to four-year
colleges.
In addition,
several Fast Track classes are also offered throughout the
summer months. Music Appreciation and Marriage and Family are
being offered in Algona. In Spencer, Survey of World Religions
and Minority Group Relations will be held. And, Spirit Lake will
have three Fast Tracks: Minority Group Relations, Music
Appreciation in Jazz History & Appreciation and Fundamentals of
Speech Communication.
Classes are
available at all campuses of Iowa Lakes in Algona, Emmetsburg,
Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake. Courses are offered at
different times during the day and evening.
