SECOND SUMMER TERM CLASSES AVAILABLE AT IOWA LAKES

Individuals interested in taking a summer college class will want to know that there is still time to register for the second term of classes this summer at Iowa Lakes Community College.

A variety of transferable course work is available starting June 26 at the second session of classes.

Many students take summer classes. Some are interested in the courses to lighten their course load the following college year. Others use the classes to reach the goal of early graduation. While yet other students take this opportunity to ‘catch up.’

General education course offerings include such classes as English Comp II, Principles of Accounting II, Finite Math, Fundamentals of Speech Communication, Intro to Sociology as well as Western Civilization. These courses are transferable to four-year colleges.

In addition, several Fast Track classes are also offered throughout the summer months. Music Appreciation and Marriage and Family are being offered in Algona. In Spencer, Survey of World Religions and Minority Group Relations will be held. And, Spirit Lake will have three Fast Tracks: Minority Group Relations, Music Appreciation in Jazz History & Appreciation and Fundamentals of Speech Communication.

Classes are available at all campuses of Iowa Lakes in Algona, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake. Courses are offered at different times during the day and evening.
