IOWA LAKES FOUNDATION GOLF OUTING BENEFITS KOSSUTH RESIDENTS

The Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation held its annual golf outing on June 1 at River Road Golf Club in Algona.  Seventy-five golfers hit the links to benefit Kossuth County residents with scholarships to attend Iowa Lakes.

Flight winners included - Flight 1 Dave Kading, Max Kading and Doug Lago;  Flight 2 Tom Manley, John Beneke and Bill Lapczenski; and, Flight 3 William Clegg, Jack Lichter, Merle Moore and Eulen Schuller.
The "high score" team of Tara Rochleau, Andrea Bernhard, Ellengray Kennedy and Echo Lochwood received "Drown Your Sorrows" beverage tickets.

Dr. Steve Richards sunk his putt to win the putting contest.

Flag contest prizes were awarded to John Beneke hole 2 (longest drive men); Lee Gunderson hole 3 (closest to the pin); Molly Schaeffer hole 6 (longest drive women) and Doug Lago hole 9 (longest putt).  Raffle winner of the 2006 Club Car Precedent electric golf cart (partially donated by River Road Golf Club) was David Bibler of Algona.

"I can't begin to express our gratitude to all the sponsors, donors of silent auction items, golfers and the River Road staff," stated Trudy Kattner, Algona Campus Dean, "without their support we would not be able to offer scholarships to Iowa Lakes for Kossuth County students.  It is wonderful!"
