SUMMER 2007 COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES ARE FRIDAY
More than 160
students will graduate at the end of the summer term at Iowa
Lakes Community College this week.
Commencement
exercises are this Friday, (July 27) with the ceremony starting
at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Emmetsburg Campus.
Keynote speaker this
year is Amy Jo Smith who is graduating with an Associate in
Applied Science degree in Surgical Technology.
Attendees will be
welcomed by College President Harold Prior; John Hand, president
of the Board of Trustees will acknowledge the Trustees; Mary
Mohni, Chief Academic Officer, will lead the Special Recognition
section with Tom Brotherton introducing the Presidential
Scholars and a Commendable Service Award will be presented by
the Student Senate; Tom Brotherton, Emmetsburg Campus Dean and
Trudy
Kattner, Algona Campus Dean will present the roll call of
candidates; and Jan Lund, vice president of the Board of
Trustees will confer the degrees and diplomas.
Following the
ceremony, everyone is cordially invited to attend a reception in
honor of the graduates.
