IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE AWARDS SANBORN SCHOLARSHIP

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2006 – 2007 Clyde & Grace Sanborn Scholarship.

This year’s recipients are Laura Bjorklund of Armstrong; Holden Bohm, Kelsie Brandt, Lacey Claypool, Ross Cody, Riley Montgomery, Megan Mortimore, Alyssa Netsch, Tara Quastad, Amy Schacherer, Danny Sexe, Andrew Soper, Mitchell Sweet, Brad Tirevold, Whitney VanRoekel, Ashley Watkins and Quinton Whalen of Estherville; Kayla Harris and Anne Olesen of Graettinger; Derek Berven and Amy Hotovec of Ringsted; Dustin Ellman, Lacey Johnson and Matthew Looft of Swea City; Tess Jackson and Jaime Laidig of Terril; Seth Lundgren of Wallingford and Melanie Schweiss of Welcome, Minn.

The Sanborns, former business owners in Estherville and other local areas, set up a fund to be used for scholarships for Iowa Lakes Community College students. This scholarship is awarded annually to students who have graduated from Armstrong-Ringsted, Estherville Lincoln Central, Graettinger-Terril, North Kossuth and Martin County West (with a Dunnell, Minn. address) where their business were located.
