IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE AWARDS SANBORN JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2006 – 2007 Clyde & Grace Sanborn Junior Scholarship. The Sanborns, former business owners in Estherville and other local areas, set up a fund to be used for scholarships for Iowa Lakes Community College students.

The Sanborn Junior Scholarship is available to high school juniors from any locale planning to attend Iowa Lakes Community College. Eligible candidates must complete an application for admission to Iowa Lakes and the Clyde and Grace Sanborn Junior Scholarship application form (available at any Iowa Lakes campus or on the Web site at www.iowalakes.edu), obtain one letter of recommendation, write a brief summary and provide a copy of their high school transcript.

High school junior recipients were Heath Wagner of Audubon; Joshua Schon of Carroll; Andy Jacobs of Cylinder; Jessica Kinnetz, Tasha Lowman, Kelsey McCain and Grace Reichert of Emmetsburg; Alex Hevern, Colin Brown and Kris Kirchner of Estherville; Brittany Borchardt and Mindy Meyer of Fenton; Corey Schechinger, David Vetter and Amanda Segebart of Manilla; Brian Stoberl of Manning; Brian Weber of Marcus; Brian Nugent of Northwood; Lance Scott of Ruthven; Tyler Larson of Spencer; Laura Ayres of Spirit Lake; Kayla Roepke of Washta; Emily Reising of Wesley; and, Nolan Bonstetter, Jordan Laubenthal and Benjamin Ulrich of West Bend.
