2007 JAZZ BAND CONTEST SCHEDULED
The Iowa Lakes
Community College Music Department will host its 32nd Annual
Jazz Band Contest on Jan. 16, 17 and 18. Class 1A will be
competing on Tuesday, Jan. 16, Classes 3A & 4A will be competing
on Wednesday, Jan. 17, and Class 2A will be competing on
Thursday, Jan. 18. A total of 36 schools will be competing for
the top three places in each class.
The public is
invited to attend any or all of the days’ activities. The
contest will be held in the gymnasium on the Estherville Campus.
There is no admission charge. Carol Ayres, Professor of
Instrumental Music at Iowa Lakes, is in charge of the event.
