IOWA LAKES STUDENTS HELPING STUDENTS
Students from the
Iowa Lakes Community College Auto Collision program, along with
instructor Rob Schultz, have donated a child’s pedal car, custom
painted by students, to the Iowa Lakes Community College
Foundation. The pedal car will be placed on silent auction at
the Foundation’s Dickinson County Scholarship Luau on Thursday,
June 7 at Parks Marina’s Barefoot Bar on Lake Okoboji. Proceeds
from this event provide scholarships to students attending Iowa
Lakes Community College.
Auto Collision is
an ever-growing and changing industry. New types of metals, the
latest plastic materials and high quality finishes on today's
late model automobiles have opened up new horizons for highly
trained auto collision repair technicians and refinishers. In
the Auto Collision and Paint Technology program at Iowa Lakes
students are trained in state-of-the-art techniques in the auto
collision repair industry.
Iowa Lakes Auto
Collision program students gain practical experience in writing
estimates and repairing damaged vehicles using crash estimate
guides and estimate forms. The Auto Collision and Paint
Technology diploma from Iowa Lakes shows students have been
trained in all aspects of a rewarding occupation.
