KLEINSCHMIDT AND MILLER EARN ALL-AMERICAN
HONORS FOR LAKERS
Iowa Lakes Community College has had two volleyball players
named to the 2007 Division II All-American honors list by the
National Junior College Athletic Association. Arah Kleinschmidt
and Liz Miller were named first team All-American and Honorable
Mention All-American, respectively.
Kleinschmidt, a sophomore setter from Oronoco, Minn., led the
Lakers and the league in assists per game with 11. Miller, a
sophomore outside hitter from St. Charles, Minn., led the Lakers
in kills with 599 on the year.
“I’m very excited to have two players named to the
All-American team,” said Head Volleyball Coach Scott Tschetter.
“Dynamic is what comes to mind when describing Arah. She was an
offensive threat as well as having the ability to react
instantly to our opponent’s defense. Liz has been a very
powerful hitter for us the past two seasons, breaking the single
season and career kills records at Iowa Lakes. This really put
them both in elite company.”
