IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE AWARDS SANBORN SCHOLARSHIP

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2007-08 Clyde & Grace Sanborn Scholarship.

This year’s recipients are Derek Anderson of Dolliver; as well as Matt Ault, Taryn Bernholtz, Charissa Blinkman, Darin Clabaugh, Lacey Claypool, Holly Countryman, Elizabeth Erickson, Tyler Gifford, Kelcey Gonnerman, Alex Hevern, Rebecca Howard, Aaron Hunt, Jason Johansen, Brad Kesler, Nick Loftis, Sarah Lutz, Lauren Nelson, Jessica Radmaker, Nicole Radmaker, Andy Soper, Brittany Steele, Whitney VanRoekel and Matt Watt of Estherville.

In addition, scholarships were awarded to Alex Girres, Sarah Subbert, Mike Dalen, Jacob Masters and Cierra Nelson of Graettinger; Derek Berven as well as Allison Rogers Walders of Ringsted; Rachel Lockwood and Malloree Lockwood of Swea City; Chance Clayton, Nicole Prentice, Lacey Riley and Sarah Radmaker of Terril; and Alyssa Netsch of Spirit Lake.

The Sanborns, former business owners in and around Estherville, set up a fund to be used for scholarships for Iowa Lakes Community College students. This scholarship is awarded annually to students who have graduated from Armstrong-Ringsted, Estherville Lincoln Central, Graettinger-Terril, North Kossuth and Martin County West (with a Dunnell, Minn., address) where their businesses were located.
