IOWA LAKES TO HOLD NINTH ANNUAL HITTING
CLINIC IN JANUARY
Iowa Lakes Community College Head Softball Coach Mike Bosch
and his staff will be conducting their ninth annual hitting
clinic in late January.
The league is for female softball players in eighth through
12th grade and the cost is $50. The camp will be held on
three consecutive Sundays (January 20, January 27 and February
3). The camp currently has two open sessions, one starting at
11:00 a.m. and one starting at 5:00 p.m. Players from Spirit
Lake, Estherville Lincoln Central, Jackson County Central, North
Kossuth and Okoboji should contact their high school coach as
times have been pre-determined for those teams.
Coach Bosch and his staff were named the 2006 NFCA Midwest
Coaching Staff of the Year and came off a season which saw three
of Bosch’s players achieve All-American status. Their focus for
this camp will be on recognizing faults in each player’s swing
and self-correcting the problem.
The camp will also include hitting fundamentals, drill
sequences to develop a good swing and video analysis using the
Right View Pro video analysis system. The camp will also point
out common hitting problems, show how to fix them and send each
camper home with a DVD of their swing.
