GAARDE-HINSCH SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS NAMED

Iowa Lakes Community College has announced the recipients of the Gaarde-Hinsch Scholarship for 2007-08.

This year’s recipients are Heidi Geiger and Sarah Berkes of Akron; Jennifer Foster of Armstrong; Alex Ehrich of Blue Earth, Minn.; Jeannette Kessel of Elmore, Minn.; Ryan Janssen of Emmetsburg; Quinn Whalen, Dillon Bennett, Kyle Koenecke and Michael Wilbur of Estherville; Candace Rebstock of Franklin, Minn.; Samantha Ball of Manson; Nicole Langel of Milford; Philip Becker of Storm Lake; and, Lindsey Mohr of Westside.

Bertha and Delbert Hinsch former residents of Estherville established an endowed scholarship for Iowa Lakes Community College vocal or instrumental students. Their great love of music inspired the couple to establish this generous gift. The Gaarde-Hinsch Scholarship is awarded annually to deserving music students.
