“WE BELIEVE IN US” ACOSTA FAMILY HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED

Iowa Lakes Community College has announced the establishment of the “We Believe In Us” Acosta Family Hispanic Scholarship.

This scholarship is not only a direct result of the college’s “We Believe In Us” Annual Giving Program, but serves as an incentive to the Hispanic community to raise the level of education for Hispanic athletes. Danny & Maritza Acosta want Hispanic student athletes to know and understand that obtaining a higher education while maintaining good grades pays off in life as well as being a good athlete.

Eligible applicants must be second year full-time Hispanic student athletes, possess a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and display financial need determined by the FAFSA form. The recipient must use the award for tuition only.
