PHELPS DENTAL SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE EXTENDED

Dr. Bill & Sally Phelps, philanthropists from Spencer, joined the Iowa Lakes Community College President’s Circle of giving earlier this year.  As a result of this partnership with Iowa Lakes, the Phelps’ have decided to utilize their President’s Circle gift by establishing this scholarship to further their support for the dental industry.  Application deadline for this scholarship for the 2007-08 academic year has been extended to October 1, 2007.

Eligible candidates for the Phelps Dental Scholarship must be enrolled full time at Iowa Lakes Community College and be planning to transfer to another institution for further dentistry instruction. In addition, they must possess a 2.8 GPA, demonstrate financial need determined by the FAFSA form results and reside in the five-county college district area – Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth or Palo Alto or be planning to return to this area to practice dentistry.
