HELDT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED

Establishment of the Linda Heldt Memorial Scholarship has been announced by Iowa Lakes Community College. 

Linda Heldt, long-time Athletic Department Assistant at Iowa Lakes, lost a hard fought battle with cancer earlier this year.  Throughout her years of service to Iowa Lakes, Heldt earned the respect and admiration of numerous area coaches, officials, co-workers and student-athletes.

Family and friends of Heldt have contributed memorial gifts to be distributed as scholarships to full-time sophomore students participating in athletic programs at Iowa Lakes.  Awards are for the fall 2007 semester only.  Deadline for this scholarship is Monday, October 1.
