NEW SCHOLARSHIP TO BENEFIT RENEWABLE ENERGY STUDENTS
Iowa Lakes
Community College is announcing the establishment of the Iowa
State Bank Renewable Energy Scholarship.
Iowa State Bank
of Algona established this scholarship as a direct result of the
new Iowa Lakes President’s Circle initiative. Upon joining the
giving circle the bank wished to utilize its gift to support
students attending renewable energy programs at the college.
"As a relatively
new giving program at Iowa Lakes, President’s Circle members
have truly been most generous to our students and programs at
the college," stated Shan Ray, Institutional Advancement
Executive Director. "The interest in and commendable comments
regarding the college have been so positive, we are just
thrilled!"
Eligible
candidates for this scholarship must be enrolled full time in
the Wind Energy & Turbine Technology program or the Biomass
Energy Processing program at Iowa Lakes Community College and
have achieved and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
