IOWA LAKES STUDENTS OBSERVE FOUR-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF SEPT. 11TH

Students of Iowa Lakes Community College will set aside time Friday, Sept. 9 and Monday, Sept. 12 to observe the fourth anniversary of the terrorist attack on the United States.

The Business Professionals of America club on the Emmetsburg campus will hold a memorial on Friday, Sept. 9 at noon. The ceremony will take place at Entrance 1 around the flag pole. Included will be patriotic music, readings about how our nation has changed since the attack and a moment of silence will be observed.

At the Estherville Campus, a ‘remembrance ceremony’ will be held at noon in the Iowa Lakes atrium located just inside Entrance 1. Coordinated by the Iowa Lakes Journalism club, the ceremony will include patriotic music, a reading of “The Fireman’s Prayer” and the Pledge of Allegiance.
The public is welcome to attend.
