IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE AWARDS THE RAYMOND HASBROOK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

A new scholarship established at Iowa Lakes Community College has been awarded for the 2005 – 2006 college year.

This year’s recipients of the Raymond Hasbrook Memorial Scholarship are Daniel Samaniego of Ayrshire; Raul Sandoval of Estherville; Kendra Cash of Fenton; Amber Dowdy and Nicole Dowdy of Aurelia; Jayson Gaunt of Grinnell; John Looft of Ledyard; Seth Lundgren and Jose Segura of Wallingford; and Emily Wichtendahl of Whittemore .

The late Irma M. Hasbrook of Estherville established the Raymond Hasbook Memorial Scholarship in memory of her husband. Several awards from this endowed scholarship are made to graduating high school seniors. Students must show financial need and may attend any Iowa Lakes campus. According to Irma’s wishes a minimum of two of the awards will be made to graduating seniors from Estherville Lincoln Central.
