ENROLLMENT INCREASES AT IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY
COLLEGE
Enrollment has increased at Iowa Lakes Community
College for the 11th year in a row.
The fall 2005 credit enrollment at Iowa Lakes
was up four-tenths of a percent to 3,154
students. The trend was also positive for the
number of ‘academic credits’ students are taking
at the college. Credit hours increase 8.2
percent.
Julie Carlson, Dean of Enrollment Management,
says Career Option program are up 4.1 percent
and Postsecondary and College Prep classes
increased 34.9 percent – leading the way for the
rise.
Iowa Lakes offers more than 100 areas of study
at its five locations. In addition, the college
provides training and retraining to employees of
area business and industry as well as continuing
education courses.
