CLYDE AND FRANCES CHRISTENSEN ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP
RECIPIENTS NAMED

Five Iowa Lakes Community College students will benefit from the Clyde & Frances Christensen Memorial Scholarship during the 2005 – 2006 college year.

Megan Brown of Glidden; Helise Frank of Lake Park; Clayton Funk of Cumberland; Seth Lundgren of Wallingford and Kevin Peterson of Spencer will receive the scholarships.

Long-time Iowa Department of Natural Resources employee, Clyde Christensen established the scholarships in memory of his late wife, Frances, prior to his death in 2002. Frances graduated from then named Estherville Junior College with a degree in teaching and later taught 5th grade.

The Clyde and Frances Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to an Iowa Lakes Community College student in good academic standing enrolled full time in the Environmental Studies Program.
