IOWA LAKES HOSTS CAREER EXPLORATION DAY

Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting a Career Exploration Day on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Estherville Campus. Area high school juniors and seniors are invited to select one program to explore from various career option opportunities at Iowa Lakes including:

Wind Energy & Turbine Technology, Law Enforcement/Corrections/Computer Forensics, Graphic Design & Technology, Human Services/Disability Studies, Computer Aided Drafting & Design, Aviation, Recreation and Leisure Management, Journalism & Photography, Legal Assistant or Broadcasting.

Organizers say this offers students a fun, fact-filled morning of educational opportunities. The morning begins with registration from 9:15 – 9:45 a.m. at Entrance #1 and ends at noon with a complementary lunch served in the Student Center. Due to time constraints, students will only be able to select one area of interest.

Reservations must be received by Friday, Oct. 7 to allow organizers to ensure that all attendees have printed materials – and lunch. Counselors and instructors are encouraged to accompany their students.
