IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE AWARDS POKER RIDE SCHOLARSHIP

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the 2005 – 2006 Poker Ride Scholarship to students at each of the following campuses.

Algona Campus recipient is Shawn Ellison of Burt. Emmetsburg Campus recipients include Danielle Flannegan of Emmetsburg and Brad Ulrich of West Bend.

Estherville Campus recipient is Kevin Howard of Webb. Spencer Campus recipient is Barbara Hyink of Algona. Spirit Lake Campus recipient is Kyle Warrior of Estherville.

The Poker Ride Scholarship was created as a result of the annual Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation Scholarship Motorcycle Poker Ride event. Funds are raised through riders’ freewill donations and through the support of local businesses. Applicants must be residents of Clay, Emmet, Kossuth, Dickinson or Palo Alto counties, attend any Iowa Lakes site and be a full-time student with a minimum of 12 credits.
