LONNI PATTEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT NAMED

Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the Lonnie Patten Memorial Scholarship to Lindsay Arend of Algona.

This endowed scholarship was established by family members, friends and Iowa Lakes employees in memory of Lonni Patten. Lonni was a caring and dedicated Iowa Lakes Child Care and Early Childhood Education program student until the time of her death. Those who knew Lonni were impressed by her love of children and her determination to complete her education.

Eligible candidates are traditional or nontraditional students with a minimum 2.5 GPA enrolled in the Child Care and/or the Early Childhood Education program at Iowa Lakes Community College. Students must also display financial need.
