IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE AWARDS THE LARRY OLSEN MEMORIAL AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP

An Iowa Lakes Community College student, Nathan McCoy of Elmore, Minn., has been named the recipient of the 2005 – 2006 Larry Olsen Memorial Agriculture Scholarship.

Larry Olsen was a hard-working determined student in the Agriculture Production Technology program at Iowa Lakes Community College. He was employed with Hawkeye Sow Centers during his years at Iowa Lakes and had been hired as a manager for one of their production centers at the time of his death. Richard and Annetta Olsen, parents of Larry, established this scholarship in his memory. Eligible candidates must be full-time students in their sophomore year in the Swine Option of the Iowa Lakes Agriculture Production Technology program.
