NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION INFINITY
SCHOLARSHIPS
Iowa Lakes Community College has awarded the
2005 – 2006 National Science Foundation
Scholarships.
Iowa recipients were John Holland of Audubon;
Nick Heuton of Carroll; Nancy Hilbers and Aaron
Smith of Cedar Rapids; Bryce Rockers of Clive;
Rachel Rouse of Curlew; William Wegner of
Dolliver; Daniel Rathe of Dunkerton; Shannon
Baker, Kevin Grems, Mary Heskett, and Garrett
Schroeder of Estherville; Samantha Fahrmann of
Graettinger; John Looft of Ledyard; Tyler
Feldhacker of LeMars; Ryan Berven of Ringsted;
Steven Schany of Ruthven; Laura Shanafelt of
Sioux City; Mary Wernimont of Sioux Rapids;
Brandon Harris, Dwaine Higgins and Timothy
Schroeder of Spencer; Nick Bierstedt of Spirit
Lake; Shane VonHoldt Jr. of Superior; Dustin
Ellman of Swea City; Mitchell Montag of West
Bend; and Robin Sander-Albertson of Whittemore.
Minnesota recipients were Stacie Stindtman of
Blue Earth; Kate Milbrandt of Elmore; Kacie
Erickson and Nichole Hendricksen of Lakefield;
and Samantha Rohr of Lakeville.
Other recipients were Leslie Benavidez of
Albuquerque, N. Mex.; Margaret Schramm of
Phoenix, Ariz.; Sylvia Leon of Tucson, Ariz.;
Britt Boyer of Huntington Beach, Calif.; Charles
White of Akron, Ohio; and Amber Sackett of
Taylorsville, Utah.
Support for this scholarship was provided by the
National Science Foundation’s Computer Science,
Engineering and Mathematics scholarship program
under grant DUE #024123. Traditional or
nontraditional full-time students enrolled in
the Computer Aided Drafting and Design,
Geographic Information Systems, Computer
Science, Computer Programming, Computer
Forensics, Information Technology,
Pre-engineering, or Pre-mathematics programs
were eligible for these scholarships. Students
must have achieved a high school GPA of 2.25,
maintain a minimum Iowa Lakes GPA of 2.5 and
enroll in the Infinity Scholars Course.
