IOWA LAKES TRUSTEES MOVE FORWARD WITH PLAN
The Iowa Lakes Community College Trustees took
action Tuesday afternoon to move forward on
finding a replacement for retiring President,
Dr. Michael Hupfer.
The Trustees will be entering into a consulting
agreement with Dr. Larry Ebbers of Iowa State
University. The Trustees will work with him in
establishing appropriate advertising and
candidate selection timelines.
John Hand, president of the Board of Trustees
and chair of the selection committee, said the
deadline for applications will be Dec. 1. Hand
said that faculty and others will be involved in
the selection process. He estimated that
interviews will tentatively occur in
mid-January.
Dr. Hupfer announced last month that he would
retire from Iowa Lakes effective Feb. 1, 2006.
