A new Registrar has been tapped to take over that office at Iowa Lakes Community College following the promotion of current Registrar Darin Moeller.

Iowa Lakes Community College President Mike Hupfer appointed Scott Stokes to the position to take effect Dec. 1.

“Scott is a graduate of Iowa Lakes, the University of Northern Iowa and Southwest Minnesota State University,” said Dr. Hupfer. “He has demonstrated his potential over the last three years and we look forward to having him join our management team.”

Stokes began working at Iowa Lakes in 2003 as Housing Manager and Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach.

“Iowa Lakes was an excellent place to attend college and has been a great place to work.  The faculty and staff here are exceptional.” said Stokes.  “I’m excited about the new opportunity and look forward to the new challenges ahead.  I feel privileged to have the opportunity to continue working at Iowa Lakes Community College.”

A graduate of Iowa Lakes, Stokes received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003. While working at the college, Stokes continued his education achieving a master’s degree in education from Southwest Minnesota State University this spring.
