A professor of Iowa Lakes Community
College has been honored by a
national publication. For the second
consecutive year, Nancy Parliman
Schoenewe, Professor of English at
Iowa Lakes Community College, has
been honored in the Who’s Who Among
America’s Teachers.
Students were requested to nominate
the one teacher from their entire
academic experience who made a
difference in their lives by helping
to shape their values, inspire
interest in a particular subject and
challenge them to strive for
excellence. Students also mentioned
the knowledge their nominated
teachers demonstrated in the
classroom and enthusiasm about the
subject.
Schoenewe, a published writer and
Phi Beta Kappa honorary, has taught
on the Emmetsburg and Spencer
Campuses of Iowa Lakes Community
College since 1986.
