TO ATTEND NATIONAL CLINIC
A student in the Landscape and Turfgrass Technician Program at
Iowa Lakes Community College has received word that he has
received a scholarship for an all expense paid trip to the
American Nursery and Landscape Association’s Management Clinic
in Louisville, Kentucky.
Kyle Reinhardt, Algona, will travel to Louisville in early
February as a guest of the Western Nursery and Landscape
Association. The group represents landscape and nursery
professionals in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Reinhardt will be officially recognized as a recipient of the
scholarship at the Western Annual Meeting and Trade Show in
early January at the Overland Park Convention Center in Kansas.
This is the first time an Iowa Lakes Community College student
has been selected for this scholarship which is an opportunity
for students to meet industry leaders and learn more about
nursery and landscape careers.
The Landscape and Turfgrass Technician program is a diploma
program covering three semesters. The last 10 weeks of the
spring semester, students are at an on-the-job training at a
business of their choice.
