EMPLOYMENT AND INTERNSHIP FAIR PLANNED

An Employment and Internship Fair will be held at Iowa Lakes Community College next week.

This is the first time such an event has been held in the fall.

“We wanted a chance for our students to find jobs in this area since many employers are looking for quality, part-time workers,” said Linda Wiegman, Career Resource Center Coordinator. “We also welcome other job seekers from the community to come to the college and meet with these employers.”

Part-time and full-time employment as well as internship possibilities will be of interest to all attending.

The Employment and Internship Fair will be held on the Emmetsburg Campus on Mon., Nov. 7 from 9:45 to 1:15 p.m.; and on the Estherville Campus on Tues., Nov. 8 from 9:45 to 1:15 p.m.

Local businesses, agencies and health care organizations are invited to participate free of charge. Those companies which have already indicated they will be at the Employment and Internship Fair at both campuses will be Hope Haven, Spencer; Northwest Communications, Havelock; Wells Fargo Financial, Des Moines; Exceptional Opportunities, Burt; Iowa Workforce Development, Rudy Salem Staffing Services; and Employment Connections.

Those attending the Emmetsburg Campus Employment Fair will be Ag Processing, Inc., Omaha; Lakeside Lutheran Home, Emmetsburg; Arnold Motor Supply/The Merrill Company, Spencer; MaxYield Cooperative, West Bend; Algona Good Samaritan Communities, Algona; Lakeview Health Services, Fairmont; Wolf Construction, West Des Moines; and Godfather’s Pizza, Spirit Lake.

Attending the Estherville Campus Employment Fair will be Youth Services International-Forest Ridge, Social Security Administration, and General Electric Wind Energy, Trimont, Minn.
