DEADLINE APPROACHES ON SENIOR FUN AND
WELLNESS DAY
Those interested in attending the annual Senior
Fun and Wellness Day on Wednesday, May 18th
in
Emmetsburg need to reserve their luncheon meal
soon.
This year’s keynote presenter is noted author
Mary Kay Shanley, who is best known for her book
“Our State Fair – Iowa’s Blue Ribbon Story.”
She’ll reminisce about the ‘good old days’ of
the Iowa State Fair.
The deadline for making a luncheon reservation
is May 12th. Those not preregistered
are not guaranteed a lunch meal. Registration
for the day’s activities is free with a
contribution for Dinner Date.
The day begins at 8 a.m. with booth displays,
registration as well as refreshments followed by
a keynote speaker and several breakout sessions
on a variety of topics of interest to seniors.
The Senior Fun and Wellness Day is sponsored by
Iowa Lakes Community College, Palo Alto County
Health System, Northwest Aging Association and
Humanities Iowa.
