IOWA LAKES BROADCASTING STUDENT RECEIVES IOWA
BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
An Iowa Lakes Community College student has been
awarded a scholarship from the Iowa Broadcasters
Association.
The full-time broadcasting media student who
will receive the scholarship is Brandon Menneke,
Algona, who will receive $4,000. Winners are
selected on recommendations and involvement of
television/radio activities. The award will be
deposited into the student’s school account in
the fall.
The IBA is a group of broadcasters, station
owners, managers and program directors from
across the state of Iowa who meet each year at a
summer conference. This year’s conference will
be held June 17, in Des Moines. The Greater
Cedar Rapids Foundation and the Quarton-McElroy
IBA Fund are the sources for the scholarships.
