OKOBOJI GOLFER SIGNS WITH
IOWA LAKES
Iowa Lakes Community College Golf Coach, Dan
Soper has announced the signing of Kevin
Johnson, of Okoboji High School to a national
letter of intent for the 2005-2006 golf season.
Johnson, a senior at Okoboji High School is a
three-year letter winner and helped his team to
three consecutive Siouxland Conference
Championships as well as two consecutive
appearances in the Class 2A State Tournament. He
has received ALL Siouxland Conference
recognition as well as being a district medalist
his sophomore year.
“Kevin will be a great addition to our program,”
said Soper. “He is coming from an outstanding
program at Okoboji and I know he has received
top instruction from Coach Randy Rohlfsen.”
Kevin’s state tournament experience will be very
beneficial to his success while competing for
the Lakers.” Soper said. “He understands what it
takes to be successful and I expect him to
compete for a top five spot next year for Iowa
Lakes.”
Kevin Johnson is the son of Mike Johnson of
Hartley and Cyndee Eakin of Spirit Lake and will
enroll in the Construction Technology Program
while at Iowa Lakes.
