SPRING 2005 COMMENCEMENT
EXERCISES ARE NEXT WEEK
More than 450 students will graduate during
commencement exercises Friday, May 13 at Iowa
Lakes Community College.
The ceremony will start at 7 p.m. in the
gymnasium at the Estherville Campus.
Keynote speakers this year are Heidi Lotz and
Jeffery Maday. Lotz is graduating with an
Associate in Arts degree while Maday has earned
an Associate Degree Nursing (ADN).
Attendees will be welcomed by College President
Mike Hupfer; Jack Tatman, president of the Board
of Trustees will acknowledge the Trustees; Ann
Wimmer will recognize the Presidential Scholars;
Marian Brunsvold, Alumni Board President, will
present the Jim Hall Outstanding Alumnus Award;
Mary Mohni, Executive Dean of the Estherville
Campus, and Mary Larscheid, Dean of the Spirit
Lake Campus, will present the roll call of
candidates; and John Hand, vice president of the
Board of Trustees will confer the degrees and
diplomas.
A special guest this year is Bruce Hertzke,
Chairman, CEO and President of Winnebago
Industries. Hertzke is a 1971 graduate of Iowa
Lakes.
Following the ceremony, everyone is cordially
invited to attend a reception to be held in the
4-plex.
