IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE HOSTS CLAY COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP GOLF OUTING IN JUNE

Area golfers are invited to attend the Iowa Lakes Community College Clay County Scholarship Golf Outing on Friday, June 17.

The event features an 18-hole golf outing at the Spencer Golf & Country Club. Prizes will be distributed and participants will be able to take part in games that will help raise funds for scholarships for students from Clay County.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The event will feature the best shot format and include flag contests with a short awards program following.

“Last year, we were able to disburse almost $9,000 from the Scholarship Golf Outing, Poker Ride and the ‘We Believe in Us’ Annual Giving Program in Clay County,” said Kitty Conover, Dean of the Spencer Campus. “This amount directly benefited 24 Clay County students with scholarships to help achieve their educational dreams at Iowa Lakes Community College.”

The Iowa Lakes Community College Institutional Advancement/Foundation Office will be accepting registrations and hole sponsorships until the day of the event. Those interested in golfing or sponsoring a hole are asked to contact Katie Elbert at 712-362-0425 or 800-242-5106 ext. 425 or e-mail her at kelbert@iowalakes.edu. Online registration is also available at www.iowalakes.edu/events.
