IOWA LAKES WOMEN’S BASKETBALL REGIONAL ACTION
Iowa Lakes Community College women’s basketball
team heads into regional action this weekend in
Cedar Rapids ranked as the third seed.
The Laker women are 9-5 in the conference and 19
and 10 overall. They will play at 8 p.m.
Saturday, March 5, against sixth seeded North
Iowa Area Community College which is 4 and 10 in
the conference and 17-12 overall.
When the teams met earlier in the season, Iowa
Lakes won 66-55 in December; the second game the
Laker women won on their home court 79-48 in
February.
Region XI action continues on Sunday with the
winners of Saturday’s games playing against each
other to whittle the field to the top two teams.
Those squads will play for the Region XI
Championship on Tuesday, March 8, at the “home
court” of the highest seeded team remaining in
the competition.
The Laker women’s squad is coached by Brian
Radtke, who recently coached his 100th career
victory with the Lakers. Team members include:
