Estherville native, Brian Stinar
will give a vocal performance at
Iowa Lakes Community College as part
of the convocation series. He will
be performing at 10 a.m. in the
Estherville Campus gymnasium and
again at 1 p.m. in the Emmetsburg
Campus gymnasium on Monday, March
14.
Tenor singer Brian Stinar made his
professional debut signing Don
Ottavio in “Don Giovanni” with
Western Plans Opera. His most recent
appearances have included the role
Don Jose in Opera Idaho’s production
of “Carmen,” a tour with Central
City Opera and role of Camille in
Western Plains’ production of “The
Merry Widow.”
Stinar is a doctorial candidate and
holds his Master’s degree from the
University of Oklahoma where he is
also a Hoying and Benton-Schmidt
Scholar.
Stinar is a 1989 graduate of
Estherville High School. He also
attended Waldorf and Wartburg
Colleges.
He is currently a voice faculty
member with the Colorado Springs
Conservatory where is has performed
in collaboration with the Chamber
Orchestra.
Admission is free to Iowa Lakes
Community College students, faculty
