IOWA LAKES TO PARTICIPATE IN ‘MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOL MONTH’

March is National “Music In Our Schools Month.” The goal is to raise awareness of school music programs and the importance of quality music education.

“Music: The Heart of Education,” is the official slogan for this year.

Iowa Lakes will be organizing several musical events. A Coffee House was held at the Estherville Campus on March 8; March 10 (Thursday) the Iowa Lakes Jazz Band will be playing at the Iowa Community College Online Consortium Conference in Okoboji; Estherville and Emmetsburg Campuses will be hosts to tenor, Brian Stinar during their convocation on March 14; on March 18, the Iowa Lakes Hand Bells will play for a private party at the Lakes Art Center; and on March 31, there will be a Sophomore Vocal Recital for Josh Day and Amy Koenecke at 2 p.m. in room 35 at the Estherville Campus.
