IOWA LAKES OFFERS ATHLETIC TRAINER PROGRAM AT
ESTHERVILLE CAMPUS
The Athletic Trainer program at Iowa Lakes
Community College is expanding to the
Estherville campus to meet the growing needs of
the program. The expansion will be implemented
for the Fall 2005 semester.
The switch will allow students more
opportunities for hands-on experience and direct
contact with athletes and coaches since Iowa
Lakes’ athletics programs are based at the
Estherville campus.
“We strive to provide the best possible learning
environment for our students and by expanding to
the Estherville campus, we are doing just that,”
said Mary Mohni, Executive Dean of the
Estherville campus.
The program will be taught by certified athletic
trainer, Kyle Norris, M.S., ATC. Norris is a
member of the National Athletic Trainers’
Association and the Iowa Athletic Trainers’
Society. He is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi.
While some of the coursework is moving to
Estherville, students will still be able to take
general education classes for the program at any
of Iowa Lakes’ five campuses.
