IOWA LAKES TO HOLD 6TH ANNUAL HITTING CLINIC
Iowa Lakes Community College Head Softball Coach
Mike Bosch has announced the dates for the sixth
annual instructional hitting league. The camp
will be held on three successive Sundays
(Sunday, Jan. 23; Sunday, Jan. 30; and, Sunday,
Feb. 6). There will be three sessions, one
beginning at noon, one at 2 p.m. and one at 4
p.m.
The clinic will include hitting fundamentals,
drill sequences to develop a good swing, and
video analysis using the Right View Pro video
analysis system. The clinic will also point out
common hitting problems and how to fix them. In
addition, the clinic will talk about different
strategies that players can take to the plate to
make each at bat successful. Numerous players
have used this clinic in the past five years to
go on and have very successful summer seasons.
The league is for female softball players in 9th
through 12th grade and the cost is $45. For more
information, contact Mike Bosch at 712-362-7997.
Data is also available online at
www.iowalakes.edu. Select ‘Athletics’ from the
Quick Links and then click on ‘Softball.’ Early
registrations are encouraged since one of the
time slots became full last year due to the
popularity of this clinic.
In addition to the hitting clinic, Bosch is also
hosting a middle school softball camp in
February and March.
