IOWA LAKES JAZZ CONTEST WINNERS
ANNOUNCED
The first day of
competition in the 30th Annual Jazz
Band Contest at Iowa Lakes Community College has
been completed. Winners from today are listed
below:
Class A
1. East Greene – Dianna Hanna, Director
2. George-Little
Rock – Jay Downie, Director
3. Aurelia
– Jason Heeren, Director
Class 3A
1. MOC
Floyd Valley High School – Mary Hulstein,
Director
2. Storm
Lake High School – Frank Hoskins, Director
3. Spirit
Lake High School, Jazz I – Pam Houser, Director
Wednesday will feature class 1A and
class 4A bands. On Thursday, class 2A bands
will compete.
The public is invited to attend any or all of
the activities. All contests are in the
Gymnasium on the Estherville Campus. There is
no admission charge. Carol Ayres, Professor of
Instrumental Music at Iowa Lakes is in charge of
the event.
Additional results will be available tomorrow as
well as Thursday.
