IOWA LAKES JAZZ CONTEST 2005 PLANNED

Iowa Lakes Community College will host its 31st Annual Jazz Band Contest, Tuesday Jan. 25 – Thursday, Jan. 27. Forty-six bands from 41schools will compete for the top three places in each of five divisions.

Area bands competing this year include: (See attached sheet for schools, date, time of performance and performance site.)

The public is invited to attend any or all of the activities. The contest will be in the Auditorium (Room 16) and the Gymnasium on the Estherville Campus. There is no admission charge. Carol Ayres, Professor of Instrumental Music at Iowa Lakes, is in charge of the event.
